SV	En het geschiedde, als de koning voorbijging, dat hij tot den koning riep, en zeide: Uw knecht was uitgegaan in het midden des strijds; en zie, een man was afgeweken, en bracht tot mij een man, en zeide: Bewaar dezen man, indien hij enigszins gemist wordt, zo zal uw ziel in de plaats zijner ziel zijn, of gij zult een talent zilvers opwegen.
WLC	וַיְהִ֤י הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ עֹבֵ֔ר וְה֖וּא צָעַ֣ק אֶל־הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ וַיֹּ֜אמֶר עַבְדְּךָ֣ ׀ יָצָ֣א בְקֶֽרֶב־הַמִּלְחָמָ֗ה וְהִנֵּֽה־אִ֨ישׁ סָ֜ר וַיָּבֵ֧א אֵלַ֣י אִ֗ישׁ וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ שְׁמֹר֙ אֶת־הָאִ֣ישׁ הַזֶּ֔ה אִם־הִפָּקֵד֙ יִפָּקֵ֔ד וְהָיְתָ֤ה נַפְשְׁךָ֙ תַּ֣חַת נַפְשֹׁ֔ו אֹ֥ו כִכַּר־כֶּ֖סֶף תִּשְׁקֹֽול׃
Trans.	wayəhî hammeleḵə ‘ōḇēr wəhû’ ṣā‘aq ’el-hammeleḵə wayyō’mer ‘aḇədəḵā\| yāṣā’ ḇəqereḇ-hammiləḥāmâ wəhinnēh-’îš sār wayyāḇē’ ’ēlay ’îš wayyō’mer šəmōr ’eṯ-hā’îš hazzeh ’im-hipāqēḏ yipāqēḏ wəhāyəṯâ nafəšəḵā t^aḥaṯ nafəšwō ’wō ḵikar-kesef tišəqwōl:

AC	לט ויהי המלך עבר והוא צעק אל המלך ויאמר עבדך יצא בקרב המלחמה והנה איש סר ויבא אלי איש ויאמר שמר את האיש הזה--אם הפקד יפקד והיתה נפשך תחת נפשו או ככר כסף תשקול
ASV	And as the king passed by, he cried unto the king; and he said, Thy servant went out into the midst of the battle; and, behold, a man turned aside, and brought a man unto me, and said, Keep this man: if by any means he be missing, then shall thy life be for his life, or else thou shalt pay a talent of silver.
BE	And when the king went by, crying out to him he said, Your servant went out into the fight; and a man came out to me with another man and said, Keep this man: if by any chance he gets away, your life will be the price of his life, or you will have to give a talent of silver in payment.
Darby	And as the king passed by, he cried to the king and said, Thy servant went out into the midst of the battle; and behold, a man turned aside, and brought a man to me and said, Keep this man; if by any means he be missing, then shall thy life be for his life, or thou shalt pay a talent of silver.
ELB05	Und es geschah, als der König vorbeiging, da schrie er den König an und sprach: Dein Knecht war mitten in den Streit gezogen, und siehe, da wandte sich ein Mann herzu und brachte einen Mann zu mir und sprach: Bewache diesen Mann; wenn er irgend vermißt wird, so soll dein Leben statt seines Lebens sein, oder du sollst ein Talent Silber darwägen.
LSG	Lorsque le roi passa, il cria vers lui, et dit: Ton serviteur était au milieu du combat; et voici, un homme s'approche et m'amène un homme, en disant: Garde cet homme; s'il vient à manquer, ta vie répondra de sa vie, ou tu paieras un talent d'argent!
Sch	Und als der König vorbeiging, rief er den König an und sprach: Dein Knecht war in den Streit gezogen und siehe, ein fremder Mann trat herzu und brachte einen Mann zu mir und sprach: Bewache diesen Mann! Wird man ihn vermissen, so soll dein Leben für sein Leben haften, oder du sollst ein Talent Silber darwägen!
